Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Tam graduated from Connecticut College before performing a year of research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed an Internal Medicine internship at NYU Langone-Long Island (formerly Winthrop Hospital), followed by a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Metropolitan Hospital. Dr. Tam also holds fellowships in Cancer Rehabilitation from The Ohio State University and Neuromuscular Medicine from Montefiore Hospital. Outside of medicine, Dr. Tam enjoys exploring the city, traveling, playing classical guitar, learning languages, skiing, and spending time with his family.
